Sportscaster Tim Brando to Host "The Pursuit" at ULM Aug. 14

ULM's The Pursuit will feature sportscaster and alum Tim Brando. Brando is a long-time sports announcer who joined FOX in 2014. In 2017 he signed a multi-year extension to announce college football and basketball on FOX. The event takes place 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, August 14 at the Bayou Pointe Student Event Center, 1 Warhawk Way. President Nick J. Touring New Orleans’s Historic Portage Route

In New Orleans, water touches our daily lives in many ways: the impacts of coastal land loss, buying flood insurance and just keeping cars dry when it rains. Water has shaped the city since its beginning. As the city celebrates its 300th birthday, the Historic New Orleans Collection is giving bike tours along the old “portage” route that was once a narrow strip of dry land between the river and lake.
