Blue Monday

Mondays 7:06pm-10pm
Hosted by Kenny Bill Stinson

Blue.  A color found towards the end of the visual spectrum.  A feeling reflecting a depressive state.

Monday.  A day towards the beginning of the week.  Not Sunday nor Tuesday, but somewhere in-between.  Considered to be the worst day of the week.

Blue Monday.  Nothing to do with anything of the above, hosted by Kenny Bill Stinson.

Host Biography:
Kenny Bill Stinson

kbs.JPG (28523 bytes)Kenny Bill Stinson has always been a music lover.   Starting at a very young age, he started collecting records and musical instruments.  Always a big fan of radio and television, he was soon "hooked and seduced" by Rock'n'Roll music via Elvis Presley and The Beatles.  Since then, he has gone on to pursue a career in music with his band and has kept up a collection of records, tapes, CD's, etc. as a hobby and sideline.

In the early 90's, Kenny was asked to do a "Blues" show on a Monroe stations known as "The River," every Sunday afternoon.   With no schooling or knowledge of how to be a radio personality, he jumped into the job with total abandon.  When "The River" changed management, in the early 90's, Kenny Bill thought his radio "daze" were over, but at that very moment, KEDM was looking for someone to do a "Blues" show.  Kenny Bill got the job and has been doing Blue Monday ever since

Although Blue Monday was preconceived as a "Blues" show, Kenny Bill just could not help but throw in some John Lennon and Frank Zappa, explaining that these guys were blues musicians too.  Soon the show gradually evolved into what it is today, "free-form radio," stemming from Kenny Bill's "stream of consciousness."  Kenny Bill says that he loves his show on KEDM and that it is one of the most rewarding things he has ever done.  He would like to thank his listeners for tuning in to Blue Monday and hopes that it gets their week started off on a very good note.
