Lila Strode

Development Director

Originally from Jackson Mississippi, Lila and her family moved to the Monroe area in 1998.  She is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Lila has worked as the Director of Institutional Advancement for Grace Episcopal School in Monroe, as the Executive Director of Keep Mississippi Beautiful, and in membership development for the Hattiesburg (Mississippi) Area Chamber of Commerce.

As Development Director for KEDM, Lila is responsible for implementing all revenue streams to address the financial needs of the station.  

Her community service includes work with The Cooley House, Twin City Ballet, and ARCO: A Community Resource. 

Lila and her husband Chip live in West Monroe, but keep in close touch with daughters in Houston, TX and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

KEDM is hosted its first Coffee Conversations at CC's Coffee House in Monroe on Friday, May 5th from 6 to 9 a.m. It was a  chance to see and meet KEDM staff and personalities, and hear interviews with local newsmakers. 

Masur Museum  Executive Director Evie Stewart and Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Ben Hickey joined Jay for a discussion about recent fire damage to the permanent collection at the Masur, the ramifications of the damage, and the plans for recovery and restoration.
