Congressman Ralph Abraham

Congress Ralph Abraham thinks the new President will immediately get down to work on his first day in office. Abraham says Donald Trump will have to wait long to sign his first bill.

"We have accommodated that in Congress and have legislation on his desk to be signed," said Abraham.

"He is waiting with pen in hand to reverse or strike out many of these crazy executive orders that Obama has put in place."

Dr. Abraham also spoke out against the pardon of Chelsea Manning. He thinks the outgoing president set a dangerous precedent by releasing her early.

"Manning was convicted of the US Espionage Act, that is a treasonous offense and I would not let him or her ever see the light of day," said Abraham.

Congressman Abraham also congratulated the West Monroe High School Band and Ruston High School Choir for their attendance and participation in the inaugural ceremonies.
