Ouachita River Valley Animal League (ORVAL) has announced the 2017 Bark in the Park, to be held on Saturday, October 7th at Forsythe Park in Monroe.  Bark in the Park is the Annual 5K Run, 1K Fun Run & 1K Walk for people and their pets.

Registration for the 5k run begins at 7am, with the race beginning at 8am.  Registration for the 1k run and 1k walk begins at 7:30am, with both 1k events starting as soon as the last 5k runner departs.  The ceremonial Blessing of the Pets will be held at 8:30am.

There will be t-shirts, gift bags and trophies for both the two-legged and four-legged participants while supplies last.  Pre-Registration is recommended prior to the 30th of September; orval.us.  You don’t have to own a pet to join in on this wonderful event.  ORVAL encourages the community to support in any way possible, whether that is walking or running in memory of the death of a pet or simply in support of animals.

ORVAL asks that all dogs be kept on a leash and under Adult Supervision.
