Many motorists have driven by the colorful seawall along Trenton Street in West Monroe.  On Saturday, the One Mile Of Love team hosts a block party to celebrate the completion of the project.

One Mile founder Brooke Foy says the party is a way to say thanks to all students and community members involved in the summer activity.  "Students from about 26 schools participated, over 3,000 pictures were collected and reviewed for the project," she said.

The celebration takes place in Antique Alley on Commerce Street.  Games, prizes, and the original artwork of the students will be on display.  "There be lots of crafts and ornaments, plus plent of delicious food," said Foy.

The party is free and open to the public.  In case of inclement weather, the block party will be moved to First United Methodist Church of West Monroe.
