Louisiana State University football Coach Ed Orgeron is promising a better performance on Saturday night when his Tigers host Syracuse. The Bayou Bengals suffered their worst loss ever to Mississippi State last week in a 37-7 drubbing. Orgeron says he’s on a mission for his team to play better.

LSU is a 22.5 point favorite to beat Syracuse, who has victories over Central Connecticut State and Central Michigan, but a touchdown loss to Middle Tennessee. Dino Babers is in his second season at head coach and Orgeron says they have a talented quarterback by the name of Eric Dungey.

LSU allowed over 400 yards of total offense in the loss to Mississippi State. This Syracuse team is averaging 491 yards per game. Tigers cornerback Donte Jackson says the defense is ready for the challenge.
