The Richwood Rams in Monroe in Ouachita Parish will play in the 3A State Championship against West Feliciana at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans Friday.  There are many fans that want to go watch, but can’t afford to make the long trip.  Tyron Dickens is trying to help raise money through his non-profit program K-9 Outreach.  Dickens says donations have started coming in.

He says they hope to take two full buses to New Orleans, but they come at a cost of five-thousand-dollars each.  Game ticket prices are beyond the reach of some residents and Dickens wants to show the team that the community is behind them by getting sponsors to help with travel expenses.

This is the first time since 1974 that the Rams have been involved in a state championship game.  He said last week, several fans got to go to the game.  He says actions like this help promote good will in the community.
