Subtitles are not keeping people away as the University of Louisiana Monroe School of Humanities continues its French Film Festival with Danton, Thursday, October 13 at 6:30 p.m. in Stubbs Hall, room 100.
Danton, The 1983 film, depicts the last months of Georges Danton, one of the leaders of the French Revolution, when tens of thousands of people were executed for being "threats" to the republic. This film features Gérard Depardieu and is full of action featuring the famous French cruelty of the guillotine.
This film festival continues throughout the year at ULM, taking a break after Joyeux Noel and starting again in the spring semester.
