Goodwill Changes Locations To Change More Lives

Goodwill moves both its store and job services to a new location in the Eastgate Shopping Center.

Monroe's Goodwill store and Job Center are opening a new central location in the Eastgate Shopping Center. This new location offers not only a larger space for the store, but also moves the job center into the same building.

Goodwill Representative Josh Tolleson says, "For our clients that we service to be able see the store with our job location will give them even more motivation to try and better themselves."

Job services that Goodwill offers are not limited to just employment in the store. The group offers training in writing resumes, interview skills, and ways to boost confidence and put one's best face forward.

Accoding to Tolleson, many who seek theses services may have no prior experience, or have physical impediments that make it difficult to find jobs. Goodwill works individually with clients to fit their specific needs and promote success.

"We've had clients come in that are in dire situations," explains David Awalt, "sometimes they may be facing eviction, or some kind of pending emergency, and they need to find a job."

The grand opening for the new location is Friday, July 1, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

More information is available on Goodwill's website or its Facebook page.
