This year's Homecoming week is the 85th anniversary of ULM.

This year's Homecoming week is set to be one of the most exciting that ULM has had yet. The theme this year, Home Is Where the Hawk Is, brings together current students and falculty with alumni to celebrate why they love this university.

From registering to vote, cuddling with puppies, and free food, the students are well taken care of this week. Alumni are also being accounted for with a luncheon, reception, and awards ceremony.

The university is also warranting celebrity attention this homecoming week. On Thursday the key note speaker of the Business Symposium, Kevin Mitnick, a world famous hacker, will be at the Monroe Civic Center, and world famous rapper, Iggy Azalea, will be at Fant-Ewing coliseum performing a concert featuring Dreezy, another rapping celebrity. The symposium is from 6 P.M. to 7:30 P.M, and the concert starts at 8 P.M.

All of the week's events lead up to a big Saturday. Starting at 9 A.M. there will be an alumni awards ceremony, followed by the Homecoming Parade at 2 P.M., and finally our week will come to a close with the ULM vs. Texas State game at 6 P.M.
