Humphries (right) gives presentation Tuesday at Chennault Aviation and Military Museum

On Tuesday, the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum hosts a presentation by Jack Humphries, Chair Emeritus for the Louisiana Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve and current Chair for Northeast Louisiana.

Humphries will discuss some of the things ESGR does for Guard and Reserve Service members before, during and after activation or deployment.

ESGR promotes cooperation and understanding between these citizen warriors and their civilian employers, and works to help resolve any conflicts that may arise from an employee’s military commitment.

ESGR was established by the Department of Defense in 1972, and is primarily supported by a network of national, state and local volunteers from all walks of life who want to help Guard and Reserve Service members with issues that arise when transitioning from civilian employment to active duty and back again.

The event is from 6-7 p.m. and admission is free. The museum is located at 701 Kansas Lane in Monroe.
