Joining Hands Against Domestic Violence

http://yourfjc.org/
Hope in the Light of Day is a free event open to the public.

Thursday, October 5th, the Family Justice Center is kicking off domestic violence awareness month with its annual event Hope in the Light of Day. This rally against domestic violence will take place at the Monroe River Market at 10:00 a.m.

Hope in the Light of Day will focus on talking about the dynamics of domestic violence with this year's theme: Seeing Beyond the Obvious. This focus point was inspired by the idea of getting to see the real people affected by the violence. The event will include speeches by a local representative, a minister, and a domestic violence survivor.

The Family Justice Center holds Hope in the Light of Day to reflect the values they carry all year long. The Family Justice Center of Ouachita Parish is a one-stop shop for information and services to serve those seeking assistance in domestic violence.

More information on all that the Family Justice Center does can be found here or by calling 318-651-9314.
