The College of Arts, Education, and Sciences at the University of Louisiana Monroe along with the International Student Services is hosting this year's Fall Art Crawl Thursday, October 12th. The crawl will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. across serveral campus galleries and studios.
Across ULM's campus the Walker Gallery, CAES Dean's Conference Room, Bry Art Gallery, ULM Sculpture Garden, and the Advanced Studios in Stubbs will all be part of the crawl. Each facility will offer something a little different for the crawlers. Walker Gallery will host student paintings, sculptures, pottery, prints, and photography. Bry Gallery will display "Laughter is a Risk and Other Struggles We Choose for Ourselves" an exhibit by Joshua Chambers. The dean's conference room will showcase photos from around the world taken by students and faculty. Along with the visual arts, the performing arts will also shine with various student musicians performing throughout the art crawl.
Dr. Joni Noble, a professor in ULM's Visual and Performing Arts program, shares, "There is a wide variety of art at this year's Fall Art Crawl". Most of this array can be purchased for a modest cost so that everyone can have the chance to take home an original art work from the crawl.
The Fall Art Crawl is open to the community at no charge. Light refreshments will be served. More information can be found by calling 318-342-1243.
