The Metropolitan Opera: Rossini’s Guillaume Tell

Airs Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 12 noon. The 2016-17 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with the network premiere of Rossini’s Guillaume Tell, heard in a performance from November 2016. Gerald Finley stars in the title role of the legendary Swiss patriot William Tell, which he has made a specialty of in recent seasons, with Marina Rebeka as the Austrian princess Mathilde, and Bryan Hymel as her suitor Arnold. The performance was led by Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi. Guillaume Tell will be heard over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 18.
