On Tuesday, the Monroe City School Board voted on plans to move a Monroe school.

The MCSB voted to move Martin Luther King Jr. High and find a new location closer to Wossman High School.

The MCSB will build the new school next door on Parkview Drive.

The first choice was land on Oregon Trail, but the City owned property is already committed to recreational use by the city.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
