Monroe Police Chief Process Narrows Field To 13

The Monroe Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board has ended the application period for those interested in participating in the competitive civil service examination for Monroe Police Chief. Applications to take the exam were accepted between September 16 and October 15, 2017.  A total of 13 candidates have officially signed up to take the exam. The Civil Service Board approved the list of qualified candidates at a 4 pm meeting yesterday at the City of Monroe's Public Safety Center.

A written examination will be given at 8:30 am and 1:30 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2017, on a competitive basis to approved applicants for the purpose of placing names on the competitive employment list in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Law and the rules of the Monroe Civil Service Board.

The Test date will be on Thursday, November 16, 2017.
