Neville High School Presents The Crucible

Mar 16, 2017

Saturday and Sunday, March 18th and 19th, Neville High School's Speech and Drama Department will be presenting The Crucible. The play will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in Neville's auditorium.

The Crucible, written by Arthur Miller, takes place in Massachusetts during the Salem Witch Trials. The play highlights the fear culture of that time, following the story of Abigail Williams, a servant girl who had an affair with her master. In an attempt to harm his wife, Abigail starts a story of witchcraft in the town. Fear sparks a wildfire, and the whole village goes into hysteria.

The leads of the show are Joshua England, Jackie Jenson, JoJo Clark, and Mark Eleam. Director of the play, Pat Turner, shares that, "Neville is fortunate to have four starring cast members who are experienced performers and well versed in their craft.”
