The Northeast Louisiana Opportunity, a branding project to promote the region, unveiled a new marketing initiative Friday that will showcase the area to potential transplants and companies.

Four videos debuted featuring the different qualities of Monroe, West Monroe, Ruston, and Farmerville. The videos told the stories of newer residents and "boomerangs," NELA natives who left the area and returned home. The videos and accompanying public service announcements will be shared through a social media campaign called #FindYourOpportunity on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn in Northeast Louisiana, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans, starting April 13. The goals of the campaign are to recruit families to move to the NELA region.

The Premiere Party serves to introduce the videos and the campaign as way for community members to engage and share the positive stories of the region through social media profiles.

The Northeast Louisiana Opportunity is a coalition of community partners from Ouachita, Lincoln, Union, and Morehouse parishes that came together in 2013 to develop solutions to recruit and retain a workforce, to support the employers and combat the misperceptions of the region.
