Opera Celebrates Mardi Gras Season

The Louisiana Opera is holding its fundraiser in true Mardi Gras style. The opera, Fledermaus, will be performed at the Ouachita Grand Plaza Ballroom on Friday, February 24th at 7:00 p.m.

This Mardi Gras-themed event will include masks, cabarets, dinner, dessert, and surprises. The Louisiana Opera along with the University of Louisiana Monroe's Chorus, and guest singers from across the United States will be lending their voices to the production.

The Louisiana Opera started in Monroe five years ago and has been growing into what it is today. The Opera collaborates with ULM allowing students and professionals work together. This helps the students meet people who can mentor them about future careers and musical endeavors.

Ticket prices are $40 per seat, cabaret seating, and $250 per table (seats 8). Tickets can be purchased at Fiesta Nutrition Center. More information on the Louisiana Opera can be found here.
