The Ouachita Community Connections is hosting an event for their Newcomer's Club at Bayou Landing this Thursday, September 22 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Members of Ouachita Community Connections, Billy Haddad and Tiffany Huffer, are looking forward to the newcomer's club and how it can forge new friendships and help member's become better established in their community.

Huffer recently moved to Monroe from Atlanta and found that a lot of local connections are already set in stone. She feels the new club will help build new relationships between members of the club as well as in the community.

Fee's to join the club are $25 for one person or $40 for a couple. Once joined, members will be able to express interest in different activities and form interest groups within the club.

The event will be held at Bayou Landing located at 7805 DeSiard Street two miles past ULM on the left side of the street. There will be a buffet  featuring catfish among other Louisiana cuisine. Suggested attire is casual and the event is free to all.
