ULM President NIck Bruno announces re-opening of Schulze Cafeteria

After 50 years of serving meals, Schulze Cafeteria at the University of Louisiana at Monroe has re-opened with a new look.

A ribbon-cutting Thursday highlighted the completion of the renovation project that provides more eating space, easier access food options, an outdoor patio, and expanded menus.

Schulze, built in 1965, is the main student dining facility located on the east side of Bayou DeSiard on campus.  At its peak, the cafeteria saw 2,600 meals served per day.

State funding was allocated for the project that began earlier this year.  Renovations were also made to the dining area in the Student Union Building as part of the project.
