Snow Moves Across Region Wednesday

B. Lenox

A second wave of winter weather this week brings snow to much of north Louisiana.  A winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Some areas could see 2 to 4 inches of snow by tonight.  National Weather Service's Marty Mayeaux says parishes bordering the Arkansas line will likely see more precipitation.  "Heavier snow will bring upwards of four, maybe even five inches to areas along the state's border," he said.

Police are advising motorists to be cautious if travel is necessary during the day.  Bridges and overpasses may close as new precipitation impacts those roadways.
