Police say two men showed badges and shouted "police, get on the ground" as they burglarized a home in Baton Rouge.

The Advocate reports the burglars kicked down a back door and waved pistols inside the home after a resident refused to let them in after they showed a badge.

A Baton Rouge police report said 32-year-old Chad Phillips of New Orleans and 20-year-old Davante Brooks of Sunshine were arrested after trying to flee actual police officers in a vehicle and then on foot. Both were jailed Friday on charges including aggravated burglary and impersonating a police officer. It was not immediately known if the suspects had attorneys.

Police said Phillips was treated at a hospital for injuries suffered during the chase and arrest.
