ULM Hosts Art Crawl and Concert Thursday Night

The College of Arts, Education, and Sciences at the University of Louisiana Monroe is hosting its Fall 2016 Art Crawl at several campus locations on Thursday, September 8 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Galleries include the Walker Gallery, the Dean’s conference room, the Innovation Center in Walker 1-137, Bry Art Gallery, ULM Sculpture Garden, and the Museum of Natural History.

The event showcases ULM students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The Walker Gallery includes student artwork such as paintings, pottery, sculpture, prints and photographs. Bry Gallery displays the Art Faculty Annual Exhibition. The Dean’s conference room hosts a silent auction with work from the School of Humanities’ faculty. The Museum of Natural History features the permanent faculty collection.

Dr. Joni Henry Noble, associate professor in the ULM School of Visual and Performing Arts, recognizes students’ accomplishments. “I am so proud of our ULM art majors and their efforts to curate and operate Walker Gallery. I hope everyone can attend the Art Crawl and meet these talented artists,” Noble said.

Following the Art Crawl, ULM alumnus Bobby Bridger performs at Emy-Lou Biedenharn Recital Hall on campus at 7:30 p.m. Bridger is a singer, songwriter, poet, actor, playwright, author, and painter.

General admission to this performance is $15. ULM faculty and students receive one free ticket with a valid ID card.
