Saturday, November 4, Forsythe Park is holding the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Registration for the walk will begin at 9 a.m., and the walk will begin at 10 a.m.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's is the primary fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association. The money raised from the walk goes to families struggling with Alzheimer's, support groups, and to continuing research to find a cure. The goal of the Alzheimer's Association is to end Alzheimer's disease by the year 2025, less than ten years away.
Today five million people are suffering from Alzheimer's, and statistics show that a large percentage of the care givers for those suffering from Alzheimer's are friends and family members. The walk will be a celebration of the progress that is already being made and the progress to come while fighting this disease.
Registration for the walk and more information on Alzheimer's Disease can be found here.
