Webber Selected As Principal at St. Frederick High School

opsb.net

Dr. Bob Webber, who is retiring as Ouachita Parish Schools Superintendent, has been named principal of St. Frederick High School in Monroe.

The announcement was made in an email sent to alumni and friends Tuesday morning.  Webber says he looks forward to the new role.  "I'm excited about it.  It's a wonderful opportunity and a great school," said Webber.

The school had intended to wait until May 1 to disclose Webber's appointment, but news of the hire was starting to make its way into the community.  He will succeed Guy Farber, who has accepted a position with a school in Florida.

Webber has led Ouachita Parish schools for the past 14 years.  Assistant Superintendent Don Coker has been named as the district's  new superintendent, officially taking over at the end of the school year.
