The results of a polling show that Governor John Bel Edwards has an approval rating of 53-percent. The poll also shows his disapproval rating is 32-percent. Louisiana State University Political Science Professor, Robert Hogan, says it is always a good sign when the governor’s approval rating is past 50-percent.

Hogan Says however, it does not mean Governor Edwards is good to go. He said Governor Edwards being a democrat in a state with a high number of democrats usually brings about problems.

He said Governor Edwards has done a good job so far, when it comes to avoiding the problems this might bring and he will face many more adversities in the months to come.
