The Center for Children and Families is encouraging community members to volunteer to be a CASA for a child in the foster care program. A CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocate, advocates for a child in need by being a steady presence in the child's life.
Saturday, September 16th, the Center for Children and Families is holding its annual signature fundraiser, the Black and White Ball. This year's ball will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Bayou Desiard Country Club.
The Black and White Ball is Saturday and will help children who have been exposed to violence.
Patrons will dress in their finest for The Black & White Ball to raise money and awareness for The Children's Advocacy Center (CAC). There will be live music from The Rockin' Dopsie Band and cuisine along with a silent auction.
