Three bounty hunters were arrested after allegedly entering a West Monroe woman's home without permission.

Bounty hunters Tyler Guimbellot, Michael Franks, and Richard Walker Jr. were jailed last week after allegedly barging into a woman's home with pistols drawn.

Guimbellot, Franks, and Walker Jr. said they were looking for the man who had owned the home before her. The victim, who is remaining nameless, had just moved into the house two months earlier.

If you have plans on traveling through Atlanta out of Monroe Regional Airport then you might have problems the next few days.

"Due to the weather, all the flights are cancelled throughout today," said Airport Director Ron Phillips. Flights to Atlanta are cancelled until further notice. It all depends on how fast Irma moves through Georgia.

Irma, now a Tropical Storm, is expected to bring a lot of rain and windy conditions to the Atlanta area today and overnight tonight.

At the turn of the 20th century, the science of wildlife management was in its infancy.  Reeling from the catastrophic human-induced losses of America's iconic fish and wildlife resources such as the vast bison herds and billions of passenger pigeons to market hunters and countless plumed wading birds for the sake of vanity, a growing contingent of citizens began demanding a counteractive response to the wholesale pillage of nature.

Tropical Storm Harvey rolled through the Monroe area last week it left behind a lot of standing water. The results of this water not moving are mosquitoes. It takes roughly 8-10 days for mosquitoes to start taking over and that time has almost made it to the twin cities.

"We don't exactly what will happen with the mosquitoes," said Shannon Rider, Director at The Ouachita Mosquito Abatement.

Some places will be a little worse off than others, "It's based on where we stood before and where we have standing water now and how long it sits there," Rider said.
