This Saturday, April 15th Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge is combining Earth Day, Migratory Bird Day, and Tax Day into one Spring Celebration. The Celebration will be held from 10: 00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the refuge.

The celebration will include an egg hunt, the turning of the blue goose, a ribbon cutting, a paddle board demonstrations by H2GO, and many fun activities for kids. Dale Barry will be there as a special guest with his hawk, Delhi along with the Forestry Club from Louisiana Tech University.

The United States Army Field Band and Soldier's Chorus will be traveling all the way from Washington D.C. to perform at Rayville High School's Arts Center on Thursday, April 6th, at 7 p.m.

The Lincoln Parish Library has two exciting events coming up in the next two weeks. Tuesday, March 28th, the Hampstead Stage Company will be performing the Secret Garden in the library's events center. The following week the library will be hosting its Easter Celebration on April 2nd.

Thursday, March 9th the University of Louisiana Monroe will be holding its fourth annual Student Art Crawl. The art crawl will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

The crawl will be held at various spots across campus. Bry Hall will be featuring the 24th annual Junior and Senior High School Art competition, and Walker Hall will feature art from art majors and faculty on campus. Participants will also get to see students working on art in their private studios in Stubbs Hall along with art in the Sculpture Garden on campus.

Sunday, February 26th, Crosley Elementary School is inviting all alumni to celebrate its 100th anniversary. This event will start at 2 p.m. in the Crosley Auditorium. 

WMWO Chamber

This Thursday, December 15, the West Monroe Chamber of Commerce is presenting  An Acoustic Christmas at the Glenwood Medical Mall. Starting at 6 p.m. the concert will be filled with Christmas music by acoustic guitars.

An Acoustic Christmas, will feature local talents Dan Sumner, John Farmer, and vocalist Betsy Lowe. This concert is free to the public, but there will be limited seating for the event. Along with free music, there will be hot chocolate and coffee provided by CC's Coffeehouse. 

The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens is opening up its doors for Christmas Evenings at the Biedenharn this Thursday, Dec. 8 through Saturday, Dec. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This Christmas event will include music, refreshments, and a visit from Santa himself.

West Monroe - West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce

The West Monroe  - West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce presents the Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series. The event features local musicians performing at The Pavilion at 7th Square in West Monroe. The free lunchtime concerts are held near the West Monroe Farmer's Market

The Brown Bag Lunch Concert Series will be held at 12:00 p.m - 1:00 p.m.. every Wednesday during  the month of September. Free lemonade an tea are provided. Lunches are available for $5.00.
