Shannon Rider from Ouachita Parish Mosquito Abatement shares information on the different types of mosquitoes in our area and how to steer clear of bites this mosquito season.

When trying to avoid mosquitoes, it is important to take action. Shannon shares that wearing longer sleeves, lighter colors, EPA approved repellant, and avoiding scented lotions and perfumes can all help keep the mosquitoes away. Making sure that there is no standing water around you house in buckets or other containers can also help reduce the amount of mosquitoes around your house.
