Many local residents perceive that crime is on the rise.  Franz Hill of Monroe says social media may be to blame.

Join 90.3 KEDM for Policy and a Pint on February 25 for a public forum on crime.  The event will be held at 2Dudes Brew & Que, 436 Desiard, Monroe, Louisiana. The meet and greet begins at 5:30 p.m. and the radio discussion begins at 6 p.m.

Our expert panel will answer questions and take imput from the audience. The panelists include Eugene Ellis, chief of Police for the Monroe Police Department, Sgt. Cj Beck from the West Monroe Police Department, and Franz Hill, a member of the Garden District Neighborhood Alliance.

Editor's note: Chief Ellis was unable to attend. Representing the Monroe Police Department was Maj. Vincent Guiterrez.
