The City of West Monroe has announced a new speaker series that aims to inspire the community on ways to elevate West Monroe to the next level. The series will commence on Tuesday, August 29 at 8 a.m. at the West Monroe Convention Center, with Dr. Patrick Scott, Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Economic Research at Louisiana Tech University, as the featured speaker. Dr. Scott will be speaking on "The Impacts of Shopping Local to West Monroe and Northeast Louisiana."
This speaker series is part of the city's "Take West Monroe to the Next Level" campaign, which was launched in 2021 to activate the community with ways that individuals, businesses, and organizations can personally elevate West Monroe. The series will continue on Tuesday, September 26, and Thursday, October 26, both at 8 a.m. at the West Monroe Convention Center.
