Start, Louisiana - Congresswoman Julia Letlow announced Laura Arnold as the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition from the Fifth District of Louisiana.

A recent graduate of Quitman High School, Laura won the competition with a collage entitled "Chicken Bits." The collage features an image of a hen as the focal point made from blue, orange, and brown collage pieces.

Letlow stated, “I look forward to the Congressional Art Competition each year to see all of the incredible talent we have in our communities. Lauren’s piece beautifully captures the unique array of agriculture we are surrounded by in the Fifth District, and showcases a level of artistic skill and creativity that I can only wish to have. I enjoy walking by Lauren’s piece each time I am headed to the House floor for votes, and I will continue to show it off to each tour group that comes up for a visit."

Arnold's piece is currently displayed on the halls of Congress alongside other winners from each district across the nation.

A native of West Monroe, Lexi is a junior at the University of Louisiana Monroe where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in communications.
