  • There are numerous myths about the aging process which leads to ageism. Lynda McGehee, retired executive Director of the Ouachita Council on Aging, discusses common myths about aging.
  • ULM football head coach Bryant Vincent announced two additions to the team's coaching staff on Wednesday (Jan. 22), with Hindley Brigham and Kishawn McClain joining the program as assistant coaches for the 2025 season. Brigham was added as the Running Backs Coach and Run Game Coordinator while McClain will serve as the Wide Receivers Coach.
  • The trial of Jarvis Dewayne Taylor in the case of State of Louisiana v. Jarvis Taylor concluded on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the Ouachita Parish Courthouse. Taylor, 25, was charged with Second-Degree Murder in connection with the death of Ebony Lewis, a 23-year-old woman, on July 7-8, 2022. After less than thirty minutes of deliberation, a jury of twelve found Taylor guilty as charged.
