The merging of art and faith creates moving images in an exhibition displayed at the Palace Gallery in Monroe. Art Of Faith, is a collection curated by Cheryl Sutton.
"It's all about what faith and art can inspire you to do," says Sutton. The pieces presented are from her personal collection from over the past 25 years. The exhibition serves as a backdrop for a program at the gallery on Sunday, February 8th, at 2 p.m.
A panel program, inspired by the art from the exhibition and the award nominated film, “Selma”, includes a discussion with spiritual, civic and community leaders from the region. The group will discuss faith and acts of faith, and progress made in the area of civil rights, equality and unity.
