The Monroe Symphony Orchestra presents a concert titled Le Bonheur, meaning happiness, Saturday evening at the West Monroe High School Auditorium.
The concert features selections by Bach, Haydn, and Mozart. "These works all have joyful character to them in different ways and different aspects," says conductor Clay Couturiaux.
The concert welcomes guest virtuosic cellist Cicely Parnas. She is featured during Haydn's Cello Concerto in C Major. "It has a happy feel to it that make it a nice addition to the overall concert," she said.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., a conductor's discussion of the musical selections is at 6:30 p.m.
