Woodwork designed by Joshua Mitchell

The Downtown Arts Alliance welcomes a new gallery as part of Thursday's crawl.

RUMO gallery opens its doors on Antique Alley in West Monroe.  The debut exhibition features the work of Joshua Mitchell, whose woodwork is known across northeast Louisiana.

"Very impressive work.  He makes furniture and all types of wooden objects.  Many people will enjoy his show," says Downtown Arts Alliance Communication Consultant Ann Bloxom Smith.

The Garrett House welcomes a two-person exhibition titled, "Finding The Figure".  It features work from local artist Ian Blaylock and University of Florida artist-in-residence Amy Freeman.

The UPSTAIRS gallery and Arender Studio are partnering for a special presentation of Emily Caldwell's "Naturally" and Cliff Tresner's work in "Makers' Mark.  Tresner gives an artist talk at 7 p.m. in UPSTAIRS gallery.
