Over 20 chefs from northeast Louisiana, the Gulf Goast, and across the country create delectable offerings during the North Delta Food & Wine Festival this Friday through Sunday.
Northeast Louisiana Arts Council President Tommy Usrey says the weekend event is new to the community. "We did a trial run last year with much success. This year we decided to have a full-blown festival," he said.
The Friday night event, a tasting event at Bayou Landing, has been sold out. On Saturday, a Dash & Dine 5k run is partnered with a Walk & Wobble event, which features stops at select restaurants along the route.
Saturday afternoon showcases a wine tasting class. while the evening opens to local restaurants featuring 5 or 6-course meal as part of a dinner celebration.
The festival concludes Sunday with a Fried Chicken & Mimosa brunch. Proceeds from the festival benefit local arts organizations.
