Local Musicians Light Up Wednesdays in October

Jordan Sheppard: A resident Northeast Louisiana musician

The Brown Bag Concert series runs every Wednesday in the months of October and April. These concerts take place in Anna Gray Noe Park in downtown Monroe at noon. Just like the name suggests this concert series lets you bring your lunch while they provide drinks and cookies.

The rest of this month's line up includes Mike McKenzie on October 12, Jordan Sheppard on October 19, and Rod Payne and Lisa Spann on October 26.

Mike McKenzie is a local favorite who has opened for Tim McGraw, T Graham Brown, and Bryan White. He has been performing since he was a kid. His styles include rock, country, and funk.

Jordan Sheppard is a fiddle player and currently the choir director for the contemporary service for St. Paul's Methodist church. He has opened for big name performers like Dwight Yoakum and 3 Doors Down. He is a new face to the Brown Bag series.

Rod Payne is a fan favorite who's been doing the Brown Bag series for a while now. Rod tries to bring different people every time when he performs, and this time he is bringing Lisa Spann. They'll be closing out the October session with show tunes, easy listening, and old standards.
