Downtown Ruston will be the home of the North Central Louisiana Arts Council's Holiday Art Tour. This event, which highlights visual, literary, and performing arts, will be held on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd.
The Holiday Arts Tour involves 28 downtown shops and 50 local artists. This event has been around for 19 years and has been steadily gaining momentum. This year's tour will have a classical guitarists, a percussion ensemble, and street theater along with the paintings and drawing of resident artists.
There will also be a 'Sprout Hour' were kids will get to screen print there very own tote for free. While the kids are doing this activity, adults have the opportunity to support artists in an Art Battle. Artists will paint for one hour in front of a crowd, and the viewers will get to vote on their favorites by placing money in the artist's buckets.
