This Thursday, October 5th, the Downtown Gallery Crawl will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary. This month's crawl will be held 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. across Downtown Monroe and West Monroe at eight different galleries.
This crawl is set to be an exciting one, as a celebration of the gallery crawl's anniversary. Brooke Foy, with the Downtown Gallery Crawl, shares that, "We're trying each crawl to bring a little bit of something special." Some of the special thing lined up are more food trucks than ever and live music.
All of the galleries included in the crawl will have something special lined up for Thursday night. The Outside Gallery will have an outdoor installment by Zach Hannibal titled, Social Vibes, focusing on how social media affects relationships. The Big Room Gallery will have an open studio allowing crawlers to see artist in action. The Sugar Gallery will have guest artist Lisa Harp on site with vintage jewelry on display and available to purchase.
Crawlers are welcomed to finish, or start, the night with a free coke float donated by the Biedenharn Museum and Gardens. There will also be new 'Crawl Swag' up for grabs designed by Jason Byron Nelson.
