A Radio Show on 34th Street

https://www.facebook.com/strausslittletheatremonroe/

The Strauss Theatre Center is ringing in the holiday season with its twist on the classic Christmas story, Miracle on 34th Street. This musical will open Friday, December 8, and will run through December 15. Showtimes will be at 7 p.m. on the 8th, 12th, 14th, and 15th, and there will be a 2 p.m. matinee on the 10th.

A Miracle on 34th Street tells the story of a department store Santa who claims to be the real deal. Through doubt, disbelief, and a court case, the spirit of Christmas can be found in the classic story. Strauss will stay true to the Christmas spirit, but will also be mixing this story up by telling it through the eyes of a radio show host. The musical will include a score of Christmas carols along with Strauss veterans and some new faces to the stage.

Anita Breen, general manager at the Strauss Theatre, shares that they are excited to present this play in a fun and different way. "This is a different take on the original, with all the fun, sound effects, and challenges that a radio station would have at that time."

Tickets are thirty dollars for adults and ten dollars for students, and they can be purchased by calling the box office at 318-323-6681. More information on all that is going on at the Strauss Theatre Center can be found here.
