The West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce will host the 2021 Ouachita River Valley Association conference on August 12 and 13 at the West Monroe Convention Center.
ORVA Executive Director David Weeks says the conference will discuss economic impacts of the Ouachita and Black Rivers Navigation Project; and feature speakers such as Louisiana Ag Commissioner Dr. Mike Strain, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Col. Robert Hilliard and Jame Bodron, as well as Dr. Norma Jean Mattei from the Mississippi River Commission.
Weeks says the group works to build a coalition of public and private entities along the Ouachita Basin in Arkansas and Louisiana.
