MSO Lagniappe Chamber Series: American Street Songs – Music for Brass Quintet

Lagniappe Brass will be joined by percussionist Kathryn Irwin in a program featuring music by American composers. The concert is titled "Street Songs," because many of the works incorporate the theme of travel on America's roads, byways, and thoroughfares.

Ensemble Description:
Lagniappe Brass is the resident faculty brass ensemble in the ULM School of Visual and Performing Arts, and performs regularly at ULM, throughout the northeast Louisiana community, and at numerous venues outside the state. Devoted to encouraging and promoting music education, Lagniappe Brass performs a number of educational concerts each year at schools throughout Louisiana and the surrounding states, and offers master classes, private lessons, and ensemble coaching for all levels.
