Community members who have supported and advanced organizations and programs in Monroe and West Monroe are recognized for their work in a gala benefit on Thursday, March 26th.
"These figures have made a lasting impact to our community," says BayouLife writer Michael DeVault. "We wanted to honor them for their contributions."
Proceeds from the gala benefit the Cooley House Foundation. CHF board member Jorenda Stone says the house, itself, is iconic. "This house is the only prairie-style design in Louisiana. It's on the National Register of Historic Places and has been elevated to national significance on the level of sites like Monticello," she said.
The gala, at Bayou DeSiard Country Club, features dinner, live entertainment, and dancing.
