A collection of 67 quilts are on exhibit at the Union Museum of History and Art. Each with a story all their own.
Unique and cherished memories about those who created them, and family members who have cared for the heartfelt gifts passed down through time. The museum's chair, Jean Jones, says some quilts featured date back to the 1880's.
"One we have that we really appreciate, has a picture of the woman who created it, which was a rarity back in the day. They didn't have very many cameras at the time," says Jones. "The quilt was made by the great-grandmother of a Bernice resident."
The exhibit runs through June 27th. Special groups can plan their visit by special request. Information at www.unionmuseumofhistoryandart.org
