"Musical Merriment" Brings Holiday Cheer

KEDM featured live performances of seasonal favorites featuring young artists in  Musical Merriment, Wednesday and Thursday December 9th and 10th. Students from area high schools and universities performed at the KEDM studios throughout the day.

Vocal Vibes host Deborah Chandler and Bandscape host Jason Rinehart served as hosts for the special broadcasts.

“Students had been working on selections full of merriment and cheer. Wow! They were ready to perform on KEDM! There was something for everyone,” explains Chandler.

Miss Louisiana, April Nelson, sang holiday classics including Pie Jesu and Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Miss University of Louisiana at Monroe Sarah Torregrossa performed a fun rendition of Santa Baby.

“This fun-filled journey gave us a glimpse of enchanting spirit of the season,” says Lila Strode, KEDM development director.

Young artists performed solo, duet, trio and quartet collections of Christmas, Hannukah, and other holiday favorites.
