Volunteer drivers deliver hot meals around Ouachita Parish.

The United Way of Northeast Louisiana's 2-1-1 service is helping coordinate volunteers with those who need help. The free call can be made from a mobile or land line phone.

First Baptist Church of West Monroe is taking applications for help, and applications from volunteers online.

North Monroe Baptist Church is collecting similar information from flood victims who could use help, and from volunteers who want to be a part of relief efforts.

Samaritan's Purse is mobilizing in West Monroe. Volunteer safety training begins at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at White's Ferry Road Church of Christ, 3201 North 7th Street in West Monroe, and continues at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day this week. More information about relief efforts is here.

School supplies are being collected at the West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce

Three churches are serving as drop off points for non-perishable foods for the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana:

  • Christ Church, 208 Lincoln Street in West Monroe
  • First United Methodist Church, 3900 Loop Road in Monroe
  • Lea Joyner United Methodist Church, 4390 Old Sterlington Road in Monroe
